Hi. I’m a multidisciplinary writer, designer, and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Below, you can see some of my recent projects.
Since 2018, I’ve worked for the Millennium Film Journal, most recently as the Managing Editor.
In addition to editing, I oversee projects including distribution, screenings, and grant writing. Past contributions have included articles, intros, and video essays.
Outside of Millennium Film Journal, I’ve also written for Screen Slate and Film Comment.
As a core member of a small team, I have designed websites, edited videos, and created social media campaigns for the studio and its productions, primarily Affair of Honor, a medium-length film adaptation of an Anton Chekhov play that is currently being submitted to festivals. More info for the film can be found on its website and Instagram.
The video consists of thousands of AI images I generated with Midjourney, then edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
I also contributed illustrations to an interactive web article on Rolling Stone about the photographer Ron Haviv, in collaboration with Starling. The article and its associated content was recently nominated for a News & Doc Emmy in the “Outstanding Interactive Media” category.
AI Prompt Engineering
In Fall 2023, I created and animated graphics for a video teaser on Twitter, as well as the Arc’s livestream announcement of their product Arc Max.
Using Midjourney, ChatGPT, and my own design sensibilities, I made 29 “films” that envision these speculative futures.
The project was inspired by my imaginary AI film experiment Fourth Eye Film Archive (more info below)
Here you can see a small selection of work I did at Interlace, including the avatar builder I illustrated, an app intro screen I animated, and a quiz I designed.
