Presence is a case study in product development and visual design that I created during my time at Interlace, Inc. The task was to come up with an original idea for a product that could actually be built in the real world. I sought a gap in the market: Linktree, a successful ‘microsite’ product, didn’t feel personal enough for users whose brands depended on control over their aesthetic.
After extensive product research and user interviews of Linktree users, I identified points where Linktree could be improved, and developed the idea of Presence, a premium alternative. The team didn’t move forward with the product, although the continuing success of Linktree and its competitors speak to the relevance of perfecting the “microsite” as a concept. Below you can see my pitch for Presence.
